Valencia City, Bukidnon — Authorities arrested two individuals in separate anti-drug operations conducted by the Valencia City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with RPDEU 10, BUK PDEA 10, and BUK PIU.

The first operation took place on June 2, 2025, at around 8:26 PM in Purok 1, Barangay Poblacion. Police operatives apprehended a 34-year-old woman known by the alias “Gaygay,” a resident of the area. The operation resulted in the confiscation of suspected illegal drugs with an estimated standard drug price of Php 69,360.00.

A few hours later, on June 3, 2025, at approximately 12:07 AM, the same joint team conducted another buy-bust operation in Purok 11, Barangay Bagontaas. This led to the arrest of a 50-year-old man identified as “Lani,” who is listed as a drug personality. The suspect, who is reportedly jobless, was found in possession of illegal drugs with an estimated value of Php 41,480.00.

Both suspects are now in police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PLTCOL Bryan M. Panganiban, Chief of Police of Valencia City, reaffirmed the station’s commitment to intensify anti-illegal drug efforts to ensure the safety and security of the community.
