OPOL, Misamis Oriental — Authorities arrested a suspected high-value drug personality in a buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of illegal drugs worth an estimated ₱340,000 in Zone 2, Barangay Igpit, Opol.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Jun,” 29, married and a resident of the area, was apprehended during the operation carried out by the Opol Municipal Police Station in coordination with the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 10.
According to police reports, operatives confiscated five sachets of suspected shabu with a total weight of around 50 grams and an estimated street value of ₱340,000. Also recovered during the operation were ₱1,000 in marked buy-bust money, a mobile phone, a pouch, and a motorcycle without a license plate believed to have been used by the suspect.
Authorities said the operation was part of intensified anti-illegal drug efforts targeting high-value individuals involved in the distribution of prohibited substances in the province.
The arrested suspect is currently under the custody of the Opol Municipal Police Station pending proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, the confiscated illegal drugs and other pieces of evidence have been submitted for laboratory examination to confirm their composition and strengthen the case against the suspect.
