Valencia City, Bukidnon – May 16, 2025 — In a major anti-drug operation in Bukidnon, operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 10 – Bukidnon Provincial Office arrested three priority drug personalities late evening of May 15 in Purok 3, Poblacion, Valencia City.
The operation, conducted in coordination with the Bukidnon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the Valencia City Police Station, resulted in the seizure of approximately seven (7) grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of PHP 47,600.
PDEA-10 Regional Director Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi identified the arrested suspects as:
- Alias Alberto, 57, a barangay employee and member of the Barangay Peace and Order Team (BPAT), resident of Purok 3, Poblacion;
- Alias Aldrin, 46, a resident of Purok 10, Poblacion; and
- Alias Fearlie, 47, a job order employee at the Valencia City LGU Motorpool, also residing in Purok 3.
Two of the suspects were found to be affiliated with the local government, raising concerns about the infiltration of illegal drug activity even within public institutions.
“This operation reinforces our commitment to enforce the law fairly and without exception. Affiliation with government agencies will never shield anyone from accountability,” said Director Gaspi, stressing that no one is above the law in PDEA’s fight against illegal drugs.
The suspects are now facing charges for violations of Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PDEA RO-10 reiterated its call for public cooperation in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs, encouraging communities to stay vigilant and report suspicious activities.
“Our goal is a drug-free Bukidnon, and we continue to work tirelessly with our law enforcement partners and communities to achieve that,” the agency said in a statement.
