Valencia City, Bukidnon – A buy-bust operation conducted by the Valencia City Police Station, in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 10 Bukidnon Provincial Office, led to the arrest of three newly-identified drug personalities on January 8, 2025, at Barangay Bagontaas.
The suspects, identified as Alias BONI, 37, a resident of Barangay Bagontaas; Alias MARVIN, 36, also a resident of Barangay Bagontaas; and Alias GERARD, 30, from Barangay Impalattao, Impasugong, Bukidnon, were apprehended during the operation. All three individuals are married and have been under surveillance for their alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.
Authorities confiscated approximately 10.7 grams of suspected shabu during the operation. The seized drugs, with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of ₱72,760, were promptly submitted to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for laboratory examination.
The arrested suspects are now in the custody of the Valencia City Police Station for further investigation and processing. Charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.
This successful operation underscores the strong partnership between the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the PDEA in their ongoing campaign against illegal drugs. Both agencies have reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of communities and working towards a drug-free Philippines.
