September 6, 2025 — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported this morning that Mindanao will continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms, even as Tropical Depression “Lannie” remains outside the region’s vicinity.

As of 3:00 a.m. today, the center of “Lannie” was estimated at 305 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. It is moving westward at 15 km/h. While the tropical depression has no direct impact on Mindanao, localized thunderstorms may bring occasional heavy downpours. PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Across Mindanao, weather conditions are expected to remain warm and humid during the day, with cloud build-up leading to isolated rains in the afternoon or evening. Winds will generally be light to moderate, coming from the southeast to south, with coastal waters slight to moderate at 0.6 to 1.5 meters.
