Residents across Mindanao can expect a mix of partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms today, July 30, 2025, due to the prevailing southwest monsoon (habagat). Winds will range from light to moderate, mostly coming from the south to southwest, with coastal seas generally slight to moderate at 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

Zamboanga Peninsula

  • Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Isabela City:
    Expect partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Winds remain moderate from the south to southwest, with coastal waters moderately rough.
    • Temperature Range: 24°C – 34°C

Northern Mindanao

  • Bukidnon: No coastal areas; inland weather is partly cloudy with potential rainshowers.
    • Temperature: 20°C – 30°C
  • Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte: Similar weather with coastal conditions rated slight to moderate.
    • Temperature: 24°C – 35°C

Davao Region

  • Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental:
    The region will experience partly cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms especially in the afternoon or evening. Winds will be light to moderate from the south to southwest, and seas will remain slight to moderate.
    • Temperature: 23°C – 34°C

SOCCSKSARGEN

  • North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani:
    Residents should prepare for brief thunderstorms in the late afternoon or early evening.
    • Temperature: 24°C – 34°C

Caraga Region

  • Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands:
    Localized thunderstorms may occur especially in the afternoon. Winds will be light to moderate, seas slight to moderate.
    • Temperature: 24°C – 35°C

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)

  • Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi:
    Isolated thunderstorms may affect these provinces later today. Coastal areas will have light to moderate sea conditions.
    • Temperature: 23°C – 33°C

General Outlook

The southwest monsoon continues to influence the island’s weather, bringing occasional thunderstorms primarily in the late afternoon and evening. Though no major weather disturbances are expected, PAGASA advises the public and local disaster offices to remain alert for possible flooding or landslides in areas prone to severe thunderstorms.
