Don Carlos, Bukidnon – A 21-year-old male identified as a member of a dismantled Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) voluntarily surrendered to authorities on Monday, July 1, at the headquarters of the Bukidnon 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd PMFC) in Barangay Pinamaloy, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.

The surrender was facilitated by the Bukidnon 2nd PMFC under the leadership of Force Commander PLTCOL Alfredo G. Ortiz Jr., in coordination with the Don Carlos Municipal Police Station, Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit (BUKPIU), Directorate for Intelligence–Mindanao Area Police Intelligence Office (DI-MAPIO), and Regional Intelligence Unit 10 (RIU 10).

The surrenderer, known by the alias “Yoyo,” was a regular member of the disbanded Sub-Regional Sentro De Grabidad (SRSDG) Pedder, under the Sub-Regional Committee 2 of the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC-NPSRL).

He also yielded an improvised shotgun along with three live ammunition, which were turned over to the Chief Supply PNCO of the 2nd PMFC for proper documentation and safekeeping.

In a statement, Police Colonel Culaway encouraged other CTG members to follow suit. “To those still involved in armed struggle, the PNP encourages you to embrace peace and work towards a brighter and peaceful Bukidnon. We urge you to lay down your arms and return to the folds of the law,” he said.

Alias “Yoyo” is now under the custody of the Bukidnon 2nd PMFC for custodial debriefing and profiling as part of the reintegration process.
