Davao City, Philippines – A high-priority drug suspect and an accomplice were arrested in a successful joint anti-illegal drug operation at Matina Crossing, Davao City, on March 23, 2024.

Authorities seized suspected shabu valued at ₱1,096,900, along with other items, including a mobile phone, a black pouch, and a Mitsubishi Mirage sedan. The operation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit of Talomo Police Station (PS3), Davao City Police Office (DCPO).

The arrested individuals are now in the custody of Talomo Police Station (PS3), where charges for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared against them.

Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) Regional Director, PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, commended the authorities for their successful operation. He reaffirmed PRO 11’s commitment to the anti-drug campaign led by PNP Chief PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, aimed at curbing the spread of illegal drugs in the region.

Authorities continue to strengthen efforts against illegal drug activities, urging the public to support law enforcement in maintaining a drug-free community.
