Tagum City – A 38-year-old woman was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Tagum City Police Station in coordination with the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 11 and the 1st Davao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st DNPMFC) on the evening of March 14, 2025.
The suspect, identified only as “alias Neneng,” a resident of Purok 7, Iliana, Barangay Daguan, Municipality of Kapatagan, Lanao del Sur, was caught at around 7:30 PM in Purok 15, HDC Compound, Barangay Madaum, Tagum City. Her partner, identified as “alias Almer,” managed to escape and remains at large.
During the operation, a poseur-buyer was able to purchase a large rectangular heat-sealed sachet containing a substance believed to be shabu using one marked one-thousand-peso bill (Php 1,000.00) and nineteen (19) machine-copied one-thousand-peso bills as buy-bust money.
Upon further search, authorities recovered additional items in the possession of alias Neneng, including:
- One large plastic ice wrapper containing suspected shabu
- One rolled Penshoppe paper bag used to store the illegal items
- One brown sling bag
- A Suzuki Mini Van used by the suspect
The confiscated illegal drugs have an estimated standard drug price of Php 714,000.00, weighing approximately 105 grams.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Tagum City Police Station and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
