Parang, Maguindanao del Norte – The Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR), under the leadership of Regional Director PBGEN Romeo J. Macapaz, successfully hosted the Solidarity Pact Signing for the 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE) and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Parliamentary Election (BARMM PE) on February 5, 2025. The event was held at the Multi-Purpose Center, Camp BGen Salipada K. Pendatun, highlighting a unified commitment to peaceful and just elections.
As the region prepares for the upcoming elections, the Commission on Elections-BARMM (COMELEC-BARMM), led by Regional Election Director Atty. Ray F. Sumalipao, took the lead in reading and signing the Solidarity Pledge—a formal commitment to uphold the integrity of the democratic process.
The signing ceremony brought together a distinguished assembly of government officials, BARMM ministers, faith-based leaders, security forces, election monitoring teams, religious groups, and media practitioners. Their collective presence underscored their shared resolve to ensure secure, accurate, free, and fair elections, promoting peace and order while safeguarding the fundamental right of suffrage for all voters in the region.
Among the notable officials who conveyed their support were PLTGEN Bernard M. Banac, Commander of APC-WestMinCom, represented by PCOL Danilo A. Bacas, Acting Executive Officer of APC; LTGEN Antonio G. Nafarrete, Commander of AFP WestMinCom, represented by BGEN Romulo D. Quemado II, Commander of the 1st Marine Brigade, Philippine Navy; CG COMMO Margo Antonio P. Gines, Acting Commander of CGD-BARMM, represented by CAPT Rolando L. Lorenzana, Deputy District Commander of PCG; and Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal of MBHTE-BARMM, represented by Atty. Dayang Akhira Sansarona, Chief of Legal Research in the Legal and Liaison Division of MBHTE-BARMM.
