Digos City, Philippines – April 8, 2025 — Authorities arrested a regional high-value drug suspect in a successful joint buy-bust operation conducted in Purok Kalubihan, Barangay Cogon, Digos City.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Man,” was apprehended by personnel from the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) under the lead of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU 11). The operation was carried out in coordination with several units, including the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), Intelligence Unit of Digos City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division 11 (RID 11), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 11 (PDEA XI), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), 1st District Special Police Mobile Force Company (DSPMFC), and the 1104th Mobile Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion 11 (RMFB 11).
Authorities seized a total of four sachets containing suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item. The confiscated drugs weighed approximately 151.51 grams with an estimated street value of Php 1,030,268.00.
Other items recovered from the suspect included marked money consisting of one genuine Php 1,000 bill and fourteen photocopied bills, two Php 200 bills, a blue Vivo Android phone, a blue disposable lighter, a National ID card, a black wallet, and a black pouch.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Digos City Police Station and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PRO 11 Regional Director PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete praised the operatives for their swift and coordinated action. “This successful operation underscores our relentless commitment to cleanse our communities of illegal drugs. Under the guidance of Chief PNP PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, we at PRO 11 will continue to apprehend illegal drug personalities,” he said.
