Digos City, Davao del Sur — Four suspected drug personalities, including a live-in couple tagged as high-value individuals, are now in police custody following a successful joint buy-bust operation conducted Friday afternoon, February 13, 2026, in Purok 1, Canaha Village, Upper Matti.

The operation, carried out at around 5:50 p.m., was led by the Police Intelligence Unit and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Davao del Sur in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, 1st DSPMFC, and 2nd DSPMFC.
Authorities identified the main suspects as live-in partners alias “Migo,” 26, and “Neriza,” 21, both residents of Upper Matti and considered high-value individuals in the illegal drug trade. Also arrested were their neighbors, alias “Dominick,” 29, and alias “Danica,” 18, who were allegedly involved in the group’s illegal activities.
According to police reports, operatives were able to purchase and seize suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱212,840 during the undercover operation. The transaction confirmed the suspects’ active involvement in drug distribution in the area.
Investigators said the live-in couple was believed to be among the primary distributors of illegal drugs in their community. Authorities also revealed that a certain individual known only as “Boss” was identified as the main source of their drug supply.
Police added that the residence of the live-in partners was being used as a den for storing and repacking suspected shabu, which led to the arrest of their two neighbors who were allegedly participating in the illegal operation.
All four suspects are now detained and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Confiscated items have been turned over to the proper forensic units for laboratory examination.
Law enforcement officials reiterated their commitment to intensify anti-drug operations across Davao del Sur, stressing that community cooperation remains vital in dismantling illegal drug networks and ensuring public safety.
Authorities urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help prevent the spread of illegal drugs in their communities.
