DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur — Police authorities arrested three individuals, including a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) secretary and a student, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Aplaya, Digos City, early Saturday, September 27.
The operation, launched at around 1:46 a.m. by the City Drug Enforcement Unit of Digos City Police under PCapt. June Mar Pasobillo, in coordination with RPDEU-XI, PDEA-XI, and the 5th SOU Command Group, led to the arrest of suspects identified by their aliases as “Bin,” 30, a resident of Biak na Bato Street in Barangay Zone 3; “Yan-Yan,” 27, an SK secretary in one of the city’s barangays; and “Mac-Mac,” 23, a student.
Police reported that the suspects sold one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover operative. A follow-up search yielded five more sachets of the illegal substance with an estimated street value of ₱357,612. Authorities also recovered one sachet containing drug residue, assorted drug paraphernalia, and a .22-caliber revolver from the suspects.
The arrested individuals are now detained and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
