Digos City, Davao del Sur — Anti-narcotics agents struck a major blow against the illegal drug trade in Digos City after raiding a suspected drug den and arresting four individuals, including its alleged operator, in a buy-bust operation Friday morning, August 15, 2025.
In a report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region XI, operatives, backed by units of the Davao del Sur police, launched the sting at Purok 4, Barangay Aplaya, where alias “Negs,” 25, was caught selling a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover agent.
The transaction paved the way for the immediate storming of the hideout, which authorities identified as a drug den. Three more suspects were collared inside — alias “Jan-Jan,” reportedly working as a den employee, and two visitors, alias “Wilma” and alias “Jackylyn.”
Confiscated from the suspects were a total of 15 grams of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item, believed to be part of their illegal operations.
Authorities warned that drug dens remain a persistent menace in the province, exploiting communities and endangering young people. The arrested suspects are now under the custody of PDEA and face criminal charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Law enforcers vowed relentless operations against drug syndicates and their protectors, emphasizing that no safe haven exists for illegal drug activities in Digos City and the rest of Davao del Sur.
