CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – A coordinated anti-drug operation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office X (PDEA RO-X) resulted in the successful dismantling of a drug den and the arrest of six drug suspects in Barangay Camaman-an on March 1, 2025.

The buy-bust operation was carried out by the PDEA RO10-Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET), with assistance from the PDEA RO10-Misamis Oriental Provincial Office, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Intelligence Unit 1 (RIU 1), and the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office – Police Station 2 (COCPO-PS2).

Authorities confiscated 7.14 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 48,552.

The arrested individuals were identified as:

  • Alias Mange, 56, married, identified as the drug den maintainer.
  • Alias Joel, 44, married.
  • Alias Roland, 44, single.
  • Alias Lorenzo, 30, married.
  • Alias Roger, 39, single.
  • Alias Elmer, 31, single.

All suspects are residents of Barangay Camaman-an and will face charges for violating Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The PDEA RO-X reiterated its commitment to intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs in Northern Mindanao, emphasizing the need for continuous operations to curb the proliferation of illicit substances in local communities.
