KOLAMBOGAN, Lanao del Norte — Police authorities arrested a 41-year-old man and seized approximately 82 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱557,600 during a buy-bust operation in Kolambogan, Lanao del Norte, on September 18, 2026.
The arrested suspect was identified as alias “Laysah Adami,” a resident of Barangay Muntay in Kolambogan.
The operation was conducted at around 10:15 a.m. by a joint team led by Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) Team 3, with personnel from the Kolambogan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Lanao del Norte (PDEU LDN), 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st PMFC LDN), Regional Intelligence Unit 10 Lanao del Norte Provincial Intelligence Team (RIU 10 LDN PIT), and the 1005th Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB 10).
Police said the operation resulted in the recovery of eight sachets containing approximately 82 grams of suspected shabu. Authorities also seized the ₱500 buy-bust money, a black handbag, and two disposable lighters allegedly found in the suspect’s possession.
The confiscated substance was estimated by authorities to have a total value of ₱557,600. The actual identity and composition of the seized substance, however, remain subject to laboratory examination.
Following the operation, Adami was placed under the custody of the Kolambogan MPS for appropriate legal proceedings and disposition. The seized suspected illegal drugs will undergo qualitative and quantitative laboratory examination to determine their chemical identity and exact weight.
The operation forms part of the police campaign against the illegal drug trade in Lanao del Norte, with authorities continuing to conduct intelligence-driven and anti-drug operations against individuals suspected of involvement in the distribution of prohibited substances.
Police Regional Office 10 Regional Director PBGEN Nestor C. Babagay Jr. reiterated the police force’s commitment to intensifying its campaign against illegal drugs. He also called on residents to cooperate with law enforcement authorities by reporting suspicious activities in their communities.
Authorities emphasized that the seized substance remains “suspected shabu” pending laboratory confirmation, and the arrested individual remains entitled to due process under the law.
