Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte – Police authorities seized around 50 grams of suspected shabu and a .45-caliber pistol during a coordinated search warrant operation in Purok 6, Barangay Poblacion, Kolambugan, on the morning of Monday, February 9, 2026.


The operation was led by the Kolambugan Municipal Police Station (MPS) in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit, targeting violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165) and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act (RA 10591).
A female suspect was arrested during the raid, while authorities continue to pursue another suspect who managed to evade capture and remains at large.
During a thorough search of the premises, police confiscated 47 sachets of suspected shabu, 28 pieces of used aluminum foil, 18 plastic sachets containing drug residue, two pocket-size weighing scales, scissors, various containers, a sling bag, a pouch, and Php 12,340 in cash. Additionally, a .45-caliber firearm with a magazine and seven live rounds was recovered. The total street value of the seized illegal drugs is estimated at approximately Php 340,000.
The arrested suspect and all confiscated evidence were brought to the Kolambugan MPS for proper documentation and filing of charges. Meanwhile, the manhunt for the escaped suspect is ongoing, as authorities intensify efforts to ensure law enforcement and public safety in the municipality.
