A suspected street-level drug personality was arrested while more than ₱102,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated during the implementation of a search warrant by operatives of the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10) in Purok 3, Barangay 24-A, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental on Thursday afternoon, July 30.
The operation, conducted at around 1:20 p.m., was led by personnel of the Gingoog City Police Station with support from the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office. The operation was carried out in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) as part of the government’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs.
Authorities identified the arrested suspect only by the alias “Estanislao Baldo Jr.,” who was classified as a Street-Level Individual (SLI) based on police records.
During the implementation of the search warrant, law enforcement officers recovered 34 sachets containing suspected shabu with a combined weight of approximately 15 grams. The seized illegal drugs have an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱102,000.
Aside from the suspected shabu, authorities also confiscated several items believed to have been used in the illegal drug trade, including an improvised glass pipe, an aluminum foil tooter, a bamboo sealer, several candy containers allegedly used for storing illegal substances, and a national identification card.
The recovered pieces of evidence were properly documented and inventoried in accordance with established legal procedures before being submitted for laboratory examination.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Gingoog City Police Station while investigators prepare charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police officials said the successful operation highlights the continuing collaboration between the Philippine National Police and PDEA in dismantling illegal drug activities in Northern Mindanao.
PRO-10 reiterated its commitment to intensifying intelligence-driven and lawful anti-drug operations aimed at disrupting the illegal drug supply chain and ensuring safer communities across the region. The police also encouraged the public to continue supporting anti-drug efforts by reporting suspicious activities to authorities, stressing that community cooperation remains essential in the fight against illegal drugs.
