ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat – A High-Value Individual (HVI) was arrested while more than ₱183,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated during a joint anti-illegal drug operation conducted by law enforcement authorities in Barangay Kalawag 3, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat on July 13, 2026.

The successful buy-bust operation was jointly carried out by intelligence operatives and members of the Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit (MDEU) of the Isulan Municipal Police Station in close coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 12 (PDEA-12), the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Intelligence Unit (SKPIU), and the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (SKPDEU).
Authorities identified the arrested suspect only by the alias “Bodji,” 47 years old, who was classified as a High-Value Individual in the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign.
According to the police, the suspect was apprehended immediately after selling one sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱1,000 to an undercover police operative acting as a poseur-buyer, signaling the completion of the drug transaction.
Following the arrest, operatives conducted a search that resulted in the recovery of six sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated total weight of 27 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of approximately ₱183,000.
Also seized from the suspect were the marked buy-bust money used during the operation, a brown wallet, and an iPhone 6 cellular phone believed to be relevant to the investigation.
The suspect and all confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of the Isulan Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
Authorities are preparing the filing of criminal charges against the suspect for violations of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operation forms part of the intensified anti-illegal drug campaign being implemented across the SOCCSKSARGEN Region through strengthened coordination among the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Acting Police Regional Office 12 Director PBGEN Alan B. Manibog lauded the operating teams for the successful operation, emphasizing the police force’s continuing commitment to dismantling illegal drug activities and protecting communities from the harmful effects of narcotics.
“Hindi tayo titigil sa kampanya laban sa iligal na droga. Sa tulong ng ating mga partner agencies, patuloy nating papanagutin ang mga lumalabag sa batas at pangangalagaan ang kaligtasan ng ating mga komunidad sa SOCCSKSARGEN,” Manibog said.
PRO-12 reiterated that sustained intelligence-driven operations, coupled with strong inter-agency collaboration, remain key strategies in suppressing the proliferation of illegal drugs and ensuring safer communities throughout the region.
