Isulan, Sultan Kudarat – May 19, 2025 — Police authorities in Region 12 intensified their anti-illegal drugs campaign with the arrest of three individuals during a successful buy-bust operation at Purok 3, Barangay Kalawag 3, Isulan.
The joint operation, conducted by personnel from the Isulan Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), led to the arrest of three suspects identified only by their aliases: “Jessy,” 48; “Rambo,” 63; and “Nitz,” 57 — all residents of Isulan.
Authorities seized seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 18 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱122,400 based on the National Standard Drug Price. Also recovered were the ₱1,000 marked buy-bust money, assorted drug paraphernalia, and cash amounting to ₱17,150 believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
The arrested suspects and confiscated evidence were brought to the Isulan Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and further investigation.
Police Regional Office 12 Regional Director PBGen Arnold P. Ardiente lauded the successful operation, emphasizing the importance of inter-agency cooperation. “This successful operation demonstrates our commitment to the fight against illegal drugs. We commend the dedication and teamwork of our personnel and partner agencies in ensuring the safety and well-being of our communities,” he stated.
The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
