Isulan, Sultan Kudarat – December 9, 2024
In a decisive operation against illegal drugs, combined forces from the Isulan Municipal Police Station (MPS), the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted a successful buy-bust operation at Star Lodge, Purok Bagong Sikat, Barangay Kalawag 2, Isulan.

The operation, carried out at approximately 1:10 PM, led to the arrest of a 45-year-old suspect known as “Alias Junior.” A farmer and resident of Purok Kauswagan, Barangay Busok, Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat, the suspect was apprehended with six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, valued at Php 47,600.00.

Authorities also confiscated a brown wallet, a keypad-type cellular phone, and a five-hundred-peso bill used as buy-bust money. The inventory of confiscated items was conducted on-site in the presence of a Barangay Kagawad and a representative from Rescuer News.

The suspect, along with the seized evidence, was taken to the Isulan Municipal Police Station for documentation and custody. A criminal complaint is being prepared for filing against the suspect for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Officer-In-Charge of Police Regional Office 12, commended the successful operation, stating:

“This achievement reflects our mission in eradicating illegal drugs and ensuring the safety of our communities. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and support our fight against this menace.”

The Philippine National Police (PNP), in collaboration with PDEA, reiterated their commitment to combating illegal drugs and ensuring the safety and security of the community.

This operation underscores the authorities’ ongoing efforts to address the persistent drug problem and foster a safer environment for the residents of Sultan Kudarat.
