DAVAO CITY — Police authorities arrested a 54-year-old suspected drug personality in a buy-bust operation conducted Monday evening, April 27, 2026, in the Tugbok District, resulting in the seizure of suspected illegal drugs valued at more than ₱400,000.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Bagie,” is a resident of Bagong Bayan, Barangay Zone 3 in Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur. He was apprehended by operatives from the Tugbok Police Station 9 at around 7:53 p.m. along Azucena Street in Barangay Mintal.
According to police reports, the operation led to the confiscation of three sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, in varying sizes. Authorities estimated the total street value of the seized illegal drugs at ₱414,800.
The suspect is currently under police custody and is set to face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Law enforcement authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations in Davao City, emphasizing that similar efforts will continue as part of the broader campaign to curb illegal drug activities in the region.
