KALILANGAN, Bukidnon — Authorities seized more than ₱1 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested three individuals in two separate anti-drug operations conducted in this municipality, reinforcing intensified efforts against illegal drugs in the province.

The first operation, carried out at the Kalilangan Public Market in Purok 4, West Poblacion, resulted in the arrest of a suspect identified only as alias Mohammad during a buy-bust operation at around 9:50 a.m. on March 20, 2026.
The operation was jointly conducted by personnel of the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, led by Police Captain Teresita L. Manejero, Officer-in-Charge, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 10, the Bukidnon Provincial Office, and the Provincial Intelligence Team–Regional Intelligence Unit.
Authorities recovered from the suspect approximately 100.5 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of ₱683,400. Also seized during the operation were a heat-sealed plastic sachet, a folded paper containing suspected shabu, a paper bag, a Realme mobile phone, drug paraphernalia, and ₱1,000 in marked money along with boodle money amounting to ₱239,000 used in the buy-bust.
In a separate operation in Barangay Macaopao, two additional suspects were apprehended, yielding 48 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately ₱326,400.
Combined, the two operations led to the confiscation of 148 grams of illegal drugs with a total estimated value exceeding ₱1 million, marking a significant accomplishment for law enforcement agencies in Bukidnon.
All arrested suspects are now under the custody of PDEA Region 10, while the seized substances have been submitted for qualitative and quantitative laboratory examination.
Authorities have filed charges against the suspects for violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The Bukidnon Provincial Director commended the operatives for their successful operations, citing their coordination and vigilance in combating illegal drugs. Officials also urged the public to remain cooperative and alert, emphasizing that community support is vital in achieving a drug-free and peaceful province.
