Davao City, Nov. 26, 2025 — Police arrested a top city-level drug target during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Matina Pangi Wednesday morning, seizing an estimated ₱9,010,000 worth of suspected shabu.

The suspect, identified as Janjan, 25, a freelancer and resident of KM 8.5 Mount Terrace, was apprehended at 7:01 a.m. by Intel/SDEU operatives of Police Station 3 Talomo. Authorities labeled him a Top 1 City-Level Priority Target in ongoing anti-drug operations.

Recovered from Janjan were:

  • 1 sachet of suspected shabu (estimated value: ₱170,000)
  • 6 sachets of suspected shabu (estimated value: ₱2,040,000)
  • 1 vacuum-sealed block of suspected shabu (estimated value: ₱6,800,000)
  • Marked money, including ₱1,000 in legal tender and 24 “boodle bills”
  • A thermal bag and a Redmi Note Android cellphone

“The operation was meticulously planned to ensure the safe apprehension of the suspect and preservation of evidence,” Police Station 3 officials said.

The suspect was immediately brought to PS3 for booking, while all seized items were turned over to Regional Forensic Unit XI (RFU XI) for laboratory analysis.
