BALINDONG, Lanao del Sur — Authorities arrested two suspects in a joint anti-drug and warrant of arrest operation on the afternoon of July 9, 2025, at the boundary of Barangays Dilausan and Dadayag in this municipality.
The operation, conducted at around 4:00 PM, was led by PCPT Sirad C. Dimalna Jr. and personnel from the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO). It was carried out in coordination with the Balindong Municipal Police Station, Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG-LDS), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU-LDSPPO), Regional Intelligence Division (RIAT-LDS), Regional Intelligence Unit 15, and the 14th Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB 14A).
The suspects were arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. One of them also had an outstanding warrant of arrest for murder and was identified as a Top 3 Most Wanted Person at the municipal level, Top 6 at the provincial level, and Top 10 at the regional level.
Confiscated during the operation were 28 sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 10 grams with an estimated street value of ₱68,000. Also recovered were marked money, cash, mobile phones, empty sachets, and coin purses.
Barangay officials and representatives from the Department of Justice (DOJ) were present to witness the conduct of the operation and ensure proper documentation.
The suspects and the seized items were brought to the Balindong Municipal Police Station for the preparation of formal complaints for violation of RA 9165 and Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code (Murder).
