BALINDONG, Lanao del Sur — A joint law enforcement operation led by the Balindong Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG) and the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO), resulted in the arrest of a suspected drug personality during a buy-bust operation on Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2025.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Beki,” a resident of Barangay Paigoay, Balindong, was apprehended around 4:00 PM after being caught selling suspected illegal drugs to an undercover police officer.
Seized from the suspect were eight small sachets of suspected shabu stored inside an aluminum “Double Mint” candy box, one sachet of suspected shabu purchased by the poseur-buyer, with a total estimated weight of 0.25 grams and a street value of around Php 1,700. Also recovered were buy-bust money, Php 250 in various denominations, and a green disposable lighter.
Provincial Director PCOL Robert S. Daculan commended the personnel of Balindong MPS, PSOG, and PIU for the successful operation, underscoring their commitment to curbing the illegal drug trade in the province.
The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to the Balindong MPS for proper documentation and disposition. Authorities are preparing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
