DAVAO CITY — Two suspected drug personalities were arrested and nearly ₱900,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated during a police anti-drug operation conducted shortly after midnight on June 10, 2026, in Davao City.

Operatives of the Bajada Police Station 18 successfully carried out a buy-bust operation along Fortune Street, Santa Cruz, Barangay Leon Garcia, Agdao District, leading to the arrest of two suspects identified only by their aliases, “Demonyo,” 39, and “Melchor,” 53.
Authorities reported that undercover operatives were able to purchase illegal drugs from the suspects, resulting in their immediate arrest. Seized during the operation were several sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱884,000.
Police said both suspects are residents of Barangay Leon Garcia, Agdao District, Davao City. One of the arrested individuals was identified as a painter by occupation.
The confiscated illegal drugs were turned over for proper documentation and laboratory examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
The suspects are set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly provisions related to the sale and possession of illegal drugs.
Following their arrest, the two suspects were placed under the custody of Bajada Police Station 18 pending the filing of appropriate criminal charges before the prosecutor’s office.
Police authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations across Davao City as part of the government’s continuing campaign against the proliferation of dangerous drugs and related criminal activities.
The operation forms part of sustained law enforcement efforts aimed at dismantling illegal drug networks and maintaining peace and order in communities throughout the city.
