MARAMAG, Bukidnon — A man is now in critical condition after he was struck in the head with an axe during a violent confrontation inside a residence in Purok 6, Tubigon, Maramag, Bukidnon.
Based on initial information gathered by authorities, the victim allegedly entered a private residence, where he later became involved in a heated altercation with the homeowner.
Reports said the confrontation quickly escalated after the man allegedly punched the owner of the house, prompting the latter to defend himself amid the commotion.
During the struggle, the homeowner allegedly used an axe and struck the man in the head, inflicting a severe injury that left the victim in critical condition.
The injured man was immediately rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment and medical care.
Police officers swiftly responded to the scene and immediately launched an investigation to establish the full details surrounding the incident, including the circumstances that led to the violent encounter.
Authorities have yet to release the identities of the individuals involved as further verification and investigation are ongoing.
