TAGOLOAN, Misamis Oriental — Authorities arrested a 38-year-old suspected drug personality in a buy-bust operation that yielded more than ₱800,000 worth of illegal drugs in Zone 12, Barangay Sta. Cruz on the evening of April 27, 2026.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Bossing,” is a resident of the said area.
According to police reports, the operation was carried out at around 8:48 p.m. by operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-10 (RPDEU-10), in coordination with the Regional Intelligence Division 10 (RID-10), Philippine Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 10 (PDEG SOU-10), and the Regional Intelligence Unit 10 (RIU-10), with coordination from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Recovered from the suspect were approximately 120 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱816,000. Also seized during the operation were several sachets containing the suspected illegal substance, marked buy-bust money, a mobile phone, a coin purse, and a motorcycle believed to have been used in the suspect’s activities.
Authorities said the suspect is now under the custody of the Maharlika Detention Facility, while the confiscated evidence has been submitted to the Regional Forensic Unit-10 (RFU-10) for laboratory examination and proper disposition.
Police officials reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations in the region, emphasizing that sustained coordination among law enforcement agencies remains crucial in dismantling drug networks and ensuring community safety.
