CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) successfully conducted two separate search warrant operations in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, resulting in the confiscation of suspected shabu valued at approximately PhP2.21 million on February 21, 2025.
At around 1:00 AM, operatives from the Provincial Intelligence Unit – Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office (PIU-MORPPO), in coordination with the Tagoloan Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 10 (RIU 10), and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) Misamis Oriental, executed Search Warrant No. 013125-787 against a suspect known as “Boboy” for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The operation took place in Zone 11, Siyayon, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
Although the suspect was not present during the operation, authorities seized seven large heat-sealed plastic sachets containing crystalline granules believed to be shabu. The confiscated drugs weighed approximately 75 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP510,000. Also recovered were a coin purse and a lighter.
A second search warrant operation was conducted at around 2:00 AM by the Tagoloan MPS, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 10 (PDEA-10) and personnel from the 1st PMFC Misamis Oriental. This operation, covered under Search Warrant No. 021025-791, targeted an individual identified as “Cardo” in the same area. The suspect managed to evade arrest, but authorities confiscated 28 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of varying sizes containing suspected shabu. The recovered illegal drugs weighed approximately 250 grams and had an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP1,700,000. Other seized items included a big pouch bag, aluminum foil, a blue lighter with an attached needle, and an improvised aluminum foil tooter.
All confiscated items were turned over to the Tagoloan Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition.
PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PRO10, commended the operating units for their unwavering commitment to combating illegal drugs.
“PRO10 will continue to intensify its efforts in coordination with other law enforcement agencies to ensure that those involved in illegal drug activities are brought to justice. We urge the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities in reporting suspicious activities in their communities,” he said.
PRO10 reaffirmed its dedication to the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) intensified anti-criminality campaign, assuring the public that operations against illegal drugs will persist.
