CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — Police operatives in Northern Mindanao seized over PHP 5.78 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested a female drug suspect during a pre-dawn search warrant operation in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental on Friday, July 25, 2025.
According to the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10), joint operatives from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU-10), Tagoloan Municipal Police Station, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 10 Misamis Oriental, Regional Intelligence Unit 10, and the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operations Unit 10 (PDEG SOU-10) implemented Search Warrant No. SWA-071525 at around 5:26 a.m. in Barangay Sihayon.
The operation led to the arrest of a 55-year-old woman identified only as alias “Jane,” a jobless resident of the said barangay. Authorities confiscated multiple heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing approximately 850 grams with an estimated street value of PHP 5,780,000.00. Drug paraphernalia were also recovered from the scene.
Initial investigation revealed that this is the first arrest for the suspect, whose alleged drug distribution network spans across Tagoloan, nearby municipalities, and even Cagayan de Oro City.
She is currently in the custody of RPDEU-10 and will be charged for violating Section 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PBGen Rolindo M. Suguilon, Regional Director of PRO10, commended the operating units for their coordinated and intelligence-led efforts.
“This successful operation is the result of our intelligence-driven efforts to apprehend illegal drug peddlers and suppress the proliferation of illegal drugs in Northern Mindanao. I commend the RPDEU 10 and other operating units involved. Keep up the good work,” Suguilon said in a statement.
