VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Three individuals were arrested after authorities conducted a buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of suspected illegal drugs worth approximately ₱527,000 on Sunday afternoon, March 1, 2026, in Purok 13, Poblacion.

Police identified the suspects only by their aliases: “Yan,” 37, a driver and resident of Purok 20, Poblacion, Valencia City; “Bob,” 43, a construction worker from Purok 5, Patpat, Malaybalay City; and “Remo,” 48, also a driver and a resident of Sumpong, Malaybalay City.

The operation was carried out at around 1:32 p.m. by the Bukidnon Police Drug Enforcement Unit (BUK-PDEU), with support from the Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit (PIU), the Valencia City Police Station, and the City Anti-Drug Special Unit Team (CADSUT). Authorities said the operation was conducted under the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pre-Operation Number 11-00-03012026-011, indicating prior coordination with national anti-drug authorities.

According to police reports, operatives successfully executed the buy-bust transaction that led to the arrest of the three suspects and the confiscation of several sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱527,000. The seized evidence will be subjected to proper documentation and laboratory examination as part of the ongoing investigation.

The suspects were immediately taken into custody at the Valencia City Police Station, where they are being held while authorities prepare the appropriate charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Local officials reiterated their continued commitment to intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs in the city. The local government of Valencia, under the leadership of Mayor Amie Galario, along with the Sangguniang Panlungsod headed by Vice Mayor Greizl Galario-Fernandez, has been actively supporting law enforcement agencies in strengthening anti-drug operations.

Officials emphasized that sustained cooperation between the local government, police forces, and the community remains crucial in addressing the threat of illegal drugs and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents in the city and nearby areas of Bukidnon.
