SAN MARTIN, VILLANUEVA — A buy-bust operation carried out by the Villanueva Municipal Police Station led to the arrest of two suspected drug personalities and the confiscation of ₱204,000 worth of shabu in Purok 2, Barangay Looc, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental on December 4, 2025.

The suspects, identified only by their aliases “King,” 46, and “Tes,” 47, both residents of Barangay Santa Cruz in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, were caught in the act of selling the illegal substance to an undercover officer. Authorities seized fifteen heat-sealed plastic sachets containing an estimated 30 grams of shabu, drug paraphernalia, and personal belongings during the operation.

Police said the suspects were immediately informed of their constitutional rights under Republic Act 7438 in a language they understood. They are currently detained at the Villanueva Municipal Police Station pending the filing of charges. All seized items have been turned over to RFU-10 for laboratory examination.

Acting Provincial Director PCOL Abanales of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Police Office (MORPPO) praised the operating team for their swift and coordinated action. He urged police personnel across the province to sustain their relentless campaign against illegal drug activities and intensify efforts to maintain peace and order.

Authorities reaffirm that their anti-drug operations will remain consistent and uncompromising to ensure safer communities in Misamis Oriental.
