DAVAO CITY — Authorities confiscated an estimated P408,000 worth of shabu and arrested two alleged drug peddlers during a Friday night buy-bust operation in Purok 1, Brgy. 1-A Bolton Extension.

The anti-drug sting, conducted at around 7:25 p.m. on November 14, was carried out by operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) 11 led by Police Captain Welquin Enciso, under the supervision of Police Colonel Joelito Espero, PDEG 11 Commander. They were reinforced by the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) headed by PLt. Richard Dionisio, the CSOG-DCPO, and the San Pedro Police Station 2.

Arrested were a 43-year-old suspect known as “Jing-Jing,” a resident of the area, and “Charles,” 35, from St. Peter Ey Mard, Bacaca.

The duo allegedly sold a large sachet of shabu to an undercover operative. Authorities also recovered three more big sachets weighing a total of 60 grams, all believed to be high-grade shabu.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) will be filed against the suspects.

Police said the operation underscores the continuing crackdown on illegal drugs in Davao City as authorities intensify efforts to dismantle drug networks operating across the region.
