EL SALVADOR CITY, MISAMIS ORIENTAL — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) located 275 kilometers west of Coron, Palawan (11.9°N, 117.7°E) continues to influence weather conditions across Mindanao. Embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the LPA is expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms across most of the island today until early tomorrow morning.
PAGASA warned that localized thunderstorms could trigger flash floods or landslides in vulnerable areas, especially during periods of heavy rainfall. Light to moderate winds from the northeast to east will prevail over the eastern sections of Mindanao, while elsewhere, winds will be from the northeast to southeast, both resulting in slight to moderate sea conditions with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 1.8 meters.
