Mindanao residents can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout Friday, November 7, 2025, according to the latest regional forecast issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) – Mindanao (MINPRSD). The forecast is valid from 5:00 AM today until 5:00 AM tomorrow.

PAGASA warned that while most areas will experience generally fair weather, localized thunderstorms may bring sudden heavy rainfall, which could trigger flash floods or landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous areas.

Across the region, winds are expected to be light to moderate, coming from the northeast to northwest, with slight to moderate coastal seas ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters. This means sea travel remains generally safe for small to medium-sized vessels, although fishermen are advised to stay alert for sudden weather changes brought by thunderstorms.

In the Zamboanga Peninsula, including Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City, residents will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional rainshowers or thunderstorms throughout the day and evening. Temperatures are expected to range from 24°C to 34°C.

Northern Mindanao provinces such as Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental will have partly cloudy skies with localized thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures will reach up to 32°C, cooling down to about 19°C at night in highland areas like Bukidnon.

In the Davao Region, which includes Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental, warm daytime conditions are expected with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 35°C. However, afternoon to evening rainshowers and thunderstorms may develop. Winds will be light to moderate, and seas are expected to be calm to slightly moderate.

The SOCCSKSARGEN area, comprising North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani, will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will hover between 23°C and 34°C, while coastal waters remain generally safe for navigation.

In the Caraga Region, including Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with possible rainshowers or thunderstorms. Sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate, while temperatures may peak at 33°C during midday.

Meanwhile, in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), covering Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur, generally fair weather is expected with isolated thunderstorms in the late afternoon or evening. Temperatures are forecast between 22°C and 33°C, and winds remain light to moderate.

PAGASA advised the public, especially those in flood-prone and mountainous areas, to remain cautious of possible sudden heavy downpours that may lead to flash floods or landslides. Fisherfolk and small boat operators are also reminded to monitor local weather updates before setting out to sea.
