27 November 2025 — Mindanao

Mindanao residents can expect another day of unsettled weather as localized thunderstorms continue to affect the entire region, according to the 5:00 AM regional forecast issued by PAGASA-MINPRSD on Thursday. The advisory, valid until 5:00 AM Friday, warns of isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms across all provinces, with potential flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Overall, Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies throughout the day, with light to moderate winds coming from the southwest to southeast. Coastal waters are forecast to remain slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 1.8 meters, making sea travel generally safe but still requiring caution during thunderstorms.

Zamboanga Peninsula

Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City will all see partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with chances of rainshowers or thunderstorms both in the morning and evening.

Winds will blow lightly to moderately from the southeast to east, except in Zamboanga del Sur where they will shift from southwest to southeast.

Daytime temperatures will range from 24°C to 33°C, cooling to 23°C to 31°C by nighttime.

Northern Mindanao

Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental are expected to share the same weather pattern—partly cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms throughout the day.

Temperatures in the region will vary between 20°C and 33°C, while coastal waters, particularly in Camiguin and Misamis Occidental, will remain slight to moderate under light-to-moderate easterly winds.

Davao Region

Metro Davao and the provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental will continue to experience partly cloudy conditions with possible thunderstorms.

Daytime temperatures will climb to 34°C in some areas, particularly Metro Davao and Davao del Norte, before dropping to about 31°C overnight. Winds will remain light to moderate from the southeast to east, with coastal waters staying slight to moderate.

SOCCSKSARGEN

North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani will also have warm and humid conditions interrupted by isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures could reach up to 34°C during the day, especially in North Cotabato.

Coastal areas in Sarangani and South Cotabato will maintain slight to moderate seas, with winds remaining light to moderate from the southeast to east.

Caraga Region

Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms—a typical pattern for the region during localized weather activity.

Surigao del Norte will experience southwest to southeast winds, while the rest of Caraga will have southeast to east winds. Temperatures will hover between 24°C and 34°C.

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)

Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur will also face occasional thunderstorms and rainshowers, though overall weather will remain partly cloudy.

Temperatures will range from 21°C in cooler highland areas like Lanao del Sur to 33°C in lowland provinces. Winds across BARMM will mainly come from the southeast to east, with mostly slight to moderate coastal conditions, except in Tawi-Tawi where seas may turn moderate later in the evening.

PAGASA Advisory

PAGASA urges residents—especially those in flood-prone or landslide-prone communities—to stay alert as severe thunderstorms may quickly develop and bring heavy rainfall. Fisherfolk and small seacraft operators are also advised to monitor updates closely due to possible rough conditions during thunderstorms.
