MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon — The Philippine Army’s 403rd Infantry Brigade has facilitated the recovery, identification, and dignified turnover of two slain Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members following a recent encounter in Bukidnon.

On August 18, troops retrieved the remains of Milinio Dungogan, alias “Alas-As,” and Mayel Dungogan, also known as “Maryjoy” or “Rejoy,” from the clash site. The bodies were airlifted the same day and later turned over to authorities for proper disposition.
To ease the burden on their families, soldiers assisted in processing documents, arranging transportation, and meeting other requirements. The Army said this was part of its humanitarian effort to ensure the deceased are laid to rest with dignity despite their affiliation.
Brigadier General Seigfred C. Tubalado, commander of the 403rd Infantry Brigade, underscored that while the military sustains operations against armed groups, it also extends compassion to bereaved families. He again urged remaining CTG members to abandon the armed struggle and take the path of peace.
The 403rd Brigade said it remains committed not only to maintaining security in Bukidnon but also to supporting affected communities in the pursuit of peace and development.
