Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City – June 13, 2025 — A total of 127 individuals were arrested by the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) during a weeklong law enforcement operation held from June 6 to 12, 2025, across various areas in Northern Mindanao.
The intensified operations, aimed at curbing criminal activities in the region, targeted illegal drugs, gambling, wanted persons, loose firearms, and smuggling.
As part of its anti-illegal drug campaign, PRO10 conducted 47 operations resulting in the arrest of 56 suspects. Authorities seized 602.12 grams of suspected shabu and 11.3 grams of marijuana with an estimated street value of ₱4,099,797.
Meanwhile, six operations against illegal gambling led to the arrest of 13 individuals and the confiscation of gambling paraphernalia and cash amounting to ₱6,639.
A total of 56 wanted persons were also apprehended during the period, including nine tagged as Most Wanted and 47 others listed in local police watchlists.
In its continuing campaign against loose firearms under “Kontra Boga,” the police conducted two operations which resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the recovery or surrender of two small firearms.
Additionally, a smuggling operation led to the confiscation of ₱3,920 worth of smuggled cigarettes.
PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PRO10, praised the efforts of law enforcers across the region, describing the results as proof of the police force’s unwavering commitment to public safety.
“These results reflect our continued effort to rid our communities of criminality and lawlessness. I commend our personnel for their diligence and dedication to duty. We will not let up. We will intensify our operations to ensure the safety and security of every resident in Region 10,” De Guzman said.
The weeklong operation is part of PRO10’s sustained campaign to uphold law and order and support national peace and security initiatives in Northern Mindanao.
