CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) maintained its strong momentum in law enforcement throughout May 2025, reporting the seizure of over ₱16 million worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of hundreds of individuals involved in various criminal activities across Northern Mindanao.
In its intensified anti-drug operations, PRO10 conducted 229 operations that led to the arrest of 282 drug suspects. These efforts yielded a total of 2,363.852 grams of shabu, 34.2 grams of dried marijuana leaves, and six marijuana plants. The total estimated street value of the confiscated drugs was pegged at ₱16,079,497.60.
Authorities also intensified their campaign against illegal gambling, conducting 31 operations which resulted in the arrest of 55 individuals and the confiscation of gambling paraphernalia worth ₱29,343.00.
PRO10’s sustained manhunt efforts led to the arrest of 315 wanted individuals, including 96 classified as Most Wanted Persons and 219 Other Wanted Persons.
As part of its “Kontra Boga” campaign against loose firearms, 75 assorted firearms were recovered and confiscated in May.
Meanwhile, the regional police office carried out 34 anti-smuggling operations, resulting in the arrest of 12 suspects and the seizure of ₱7,211,490.00 worth of smuggled cigarettes.
Five anti-illegal mining operations were also conducted during the month, resulting in the confiscation of ₱2,721,500.00 worth of illegal mining equipment and the arrest of one individual.
PRO10 Regional Director PBGen Jaysen C. De Guzman attributed these accomplishments to the strategic deployment of personnel and the intensified implementation of law enforcement measures throughout the region.
“These accomplishments reflect the unwavering dedication of our police personnel to maintain peace and order, and to aggressively pursue all forms of criminality in the region,” De Guzman said. “We remain committed to safeguarding our communities by strengthening our operational capabilities and collaboration with other government agencies.”
PRO10 assured the public that its intensified law enforcement operations will continue in the coming months as part of its ongoing mission to keep Northern Mindanao safe and secure.
