In a series of intensified anti-illegal drug operations across Northern Mindanao, the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) reported the arrest of 20 drug personalities from May 17 to 18, 2025.
According to PRO10, a total of 18 coordinated operations were carried out over the weekend, resulting in the seizure of approximately 72.65 grams of suspected shabu. The confiscated drugs have an estimated street value of PHP 479,020.00 based on the Standard Drug Price.
Among the arrested individuals was a high-value target identified only as alias “Mike,” a 39-year-old resident of Barangay Suarez, Iligan City. He was apprehended on May 18 during a buy-bust operation conducted by Team 3 Iligan RPDEU, in coordination with RIU-10, 5th Special Operations Unit, PNP Maritime Group SND SBC, and Iligan City Police Station 2.
Authorities recovered five heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu from the suspect, weighing around 45 grams with an estimated value of PHP 306,000.00. Records reveal that “Mike” had previously been convicted for a similar drug-related offense.
All suspects are currently detained at various custodial facilities across the region pending proper disposition and filing of charges.
PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PRO10, lauded the operating units for their successful operations.
“I commend our operating units for their unwavering dedication and relentless efforts in our campaign against illegal drugs. We will continue to intensify our operations to ensure that these drug peddlers are held accountable and placed behind bars,” De Guzman said.
