Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat – A high-value drug suspect was arrested in a successful intelligence-driven operation conducted by the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) on April 2, 2025. Authorities also seized suspected shabu worth over ₱346,000 during the operation in Purok 4, Barangay Poblacion, Tacurong City.
The joint buy-bust operation was carried out by multiple law enforcement units, including the Tacurong City Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, 1st Sultan Kudarat Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Regional Intelligence Division 12, all under the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Tito,” is a 35-year-old married resident of Urban 04, Purok San Jose, Barangay San Pablo, Tacurong City. Law enforcement officers recovered two sachets of suspected shabu weighing 51.02 grams with a National Standard Drug Price valuation of ₱346,936.00. Authorities also confiscated ₱1,000.00 in buy-bust money from the suspect.
The arrested individual and the seized evidence were taken to the Tacurong City Police Station for proper documentation and further legal proceedings.
Regional Director PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente emphasized that the operation underscores the police force’s unwavering commitment to combating illegal drugs in the region. “The arrest of this high-value individual and the seizure of ₱346,936 worth of illegal drugs are clear manifestations of our intensified campaign against dangerous drugs. We remain relentless in dismantling drug networks and ensuring the safety and security of the people of SOCCSKSARGEN,” he stated.
Authorities continue to strengthen their anti-drug operations, urging the public to cooperate and report any suspicious activities that may contribute to the fight against illegal drugs.
