TACURONG CITY, Sultan Kudarat — Police authorities successfully arrested a high-value target listed among the region’s most wanted during an operation in Barangay Barras, Tacurong City, on Friday, September 12, 2025.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Rex,” 32, a resident of the area, was apprehended through a joint effort of the Tacurong City Police Station (CPS), Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Sultan Kudarat Provincial Field Unit, and the 4th Special Action Battalion of the PNP Special Action Force (SAF).
Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) confirmed that Rex is listed as the Top 9 Regional Level Most Wanted Person (MWP). He was arrested by virtue of a warrant for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Following his arrest, the suspect was brought to the Tacurong CPS for documentation and proper disposition.
PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, commended the operating units for their swift action and emphasized the PNP’s continuing campaign against lawlessness.
“The arrest of this individual is a clear message to all law violators that the PNP will never stop in its pursuit of justice. We will continue to hunt down those who threaten peace and order in SOCCSKSARGEN,” Ardiente said.
Authorities assured that intensified police operations will continue to target wanted persons and criminal groups across the region.
