Wao, Lanao del Sur – A successful anti-illegal drug operation conducted by law enforcement operatives on the evening of March 14, 2025, led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Purok 2, Barangay Eastern Wao, Lanao del Sur.
PCOL Robert S. Daculan, Provincial Director of Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO), lauded the efforts of the Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group, Special Operations Unit 15 (PNP DEG SOU-15) as the lead unit, in coordination with Wao Municipal Police Station (MPS), 3rd Platoon 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit/Provincial Special Operations Group (PDEU/PSOG), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA BARMM).
The buy-bust operation, executed at approximately 7:10 PM, resulted in the apprehension of a suspect who is a resident of Barangay Muslim Village, Wao, Lanao del Sur. Authorities confiscated one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with an estimated weight of 10 grams and a street value of PHP 68,000. Additionally, the buy-bust money used in the operation was also recovered.
The seized illegal drugs were transported to the Regional Forensic Unit – BAR for laboratory examination, while the suspect was brought to Wao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and temporary detention.
Authorities emphasized their continued commitment to the fight against illegal drugs in Lanao del Sur, assuring the public of sustained efforts to combat criminal activities in the province.
