Tagum City, Philippines – March 16, 2025 – A 45-year-old man, identified as Alias “DONG,” was arrested after authorities discovered illegal drugs in his residence during a search warrant operation conducted by the Tagum City Police Station. The operation, carried out in coordination with the 1st DNPMFC and DNPDEU, took place at 6:19 AM on March 16, 2025.
The search warrant, issued by Hon. Judge Jimmy B. Boco, Vice Executive Judge of RTC 11, Branch 2-FAMILY COURT, authorized police officers to inspect the suspect’s residence in Purok Pag-Asa, 2nd Avenue, Barangay Magugpo South, Tagum City.
Upon searching the premises, law enforcement officers recovered two large rectangular heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, one medium-sized rectangular sachet, and ten elongated heat-sealed sachets with a similar substance. Additionally, a green sling bag was confiscated.
The seized illegal drugs are estimated to have a total value of PHP 34,000, with a combined weight of approximately five grams, based on the Standard Drug Price.
Alias “DONG” is currently in police custody at the Tagum City Police Station and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
