Valencia City, Bukidnon – In a decisive move against illegal drugs, the Valencia City Police Station (CPS) personnel, led by PLTCOL Bryan M. Panganiban, Officer-in-Charge, in collaboration with the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office (BUKPPO) Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), successfully conducted a joint drug buy-bust operation. The operation led to the arrest of three male suspects, aged 35, 31, and 18, along with a minor, while a certain individual known as “Daddy,” a 40-year-old male, managed to evade capture.
Authorities seized a total of 92.1 grams of illegal drugs, with an estimated standard drug price of Php 626,280.00. The inventory of the confiscated evidence was carried out at the place of arrest, witnessed by a Barangay Kagawad and a media representative from DXMV-UMBN.
Following standard procedures, the arrested individuals and the seized drug evidence were brought to the Valencia CPS for proper documentation and disposition. The drug evidence will be turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit for examination. Charges for violations of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are currently being prepared for inquest proceedings against the suspects.
