Northern Mindanao – In a significant blow to criminal activities in the region, the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) successfully apprehended 205 individuals and seized more than PhP11 million worth of illegal drugs during its one-week intensified law enforcement operations from January 23 to 29, 2025.
Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign
During this period, PRO10 executed 82 anti-illegal drug operations, leading to the arrest of 90 individuals. Law enforcement confiscated 1,720.102 grams of shabu and three grams of marijuana, amounting to an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP11,697,053.60.
Crackdown on Illegal Gambling
The campaign against illegal gambling resulted in 11 successful operations, leading to the arrest of 25 individuals. Authorities also seized PhP7,739.00 worth of illegal gambling paraphernalia and cash bets.
Apprehension of Wanted Persons
PRO10 intensified its efforts against fugitives, successfully arresting 77 wanted individuals. This includes 16 individuals classified as Most Wanted Persons and 61 identified as Other Wanted Persons.
Campaign Against Loose Firearms (Kontra Boga)
In an effort to curb firearm-related violence, PRO10 conducted 23 operations, resulting in the arrest of 10 individuals and the confiscation, surrender, or recovery of 38 small arms and two light weapons. Additionally, approximately 247 house visitations were conducted under the Revitalized Katok (Bilang Boga) initiative, leading to the voluntary surrender of eight firearms for safekeeping.
Anti-Smuggling Operations
Law enforcement authorities also strengthened their campaign against smuggling, conducting three successful operations. These led to the arrest of three individuals and the confiscation of smuggled cigarettes worth approximately PhP468,320.00.
