General Santos City – Authorities arrested two individuals during a search warrant operation after recovering illegal firearms and drugs from their residence in Barangay Dadiangas West, General Santos City, on February 4, 2025.
The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Loli” and “Rop,” are both residents of the area. At around 5:04 p.m., police executed the search warrant and recovered three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a .22 caliber revolver with eight rounds of ammunition, and drug paraphernalia.
The two suspects are now facing charges for violating Republic Act 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, along with charges related to illegal drugs.
The Philippine National Police remains committed to its campaign against loose firearms and illegal drugs, urging undocumented gun owners to surrender their weapons to avoid legal consequences.
