Columbio, Sultan Kudarat – Authorities confiscated an illegal firearm and suspected marijuana during a Search Warrant Operation conducted in Barangay New Bantangan, Columbio, Sultan Kudarat, on the morning of Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
Operatives from the Columbio Municipal Police Station arrested the suspect, identified only by the alias “Roger.” Recovered from his residence were approximately 31 grams of dried marijuana leaves, with an estimated value of Php4,650, along with a .22 caliber revolver and three rounds of ammunition.
The suspect is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, as well as charges related to illegal drugs.
The Philippine National Police continues to conduct various operations and campaigns focused on rehabilitation and reintegration programs for the youth to prevent drug involvement. At the same time, efforts remain steadfast in apprehending individuals engaged in the use, sale, and protection of illegal substances.
