Mindanao faces a mix of weather conditions today as the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) influences the region, according to PAGASA’s latest forecast. Residents should brace for cloudy skies, scattered rain, and thunderstorms, particularly in Caraga and Davao. Isolated rain showers are expected in other areas of the region, with warnings of possible flash floods and landslides in affected areas.

Key cities such as Surigao City, Butuan City, Metro Davao, and Tagum City are likely to see moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms throughout the day. Meanwhile, areas like Zamboanga City, Pagadian City, General Santos City, and Dipolog City will experience partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.

For those in Cagayan de Oro City, Malaybalay City, and Iligan City, the weather will oscillate between partly cloudy skies and light rain. Temperatures in these locations range from 25 to 31°C, ensuring a warm but potentially wet day.

The southern regions, including Cotabato City and Marawi City, will share similar weather patterns, with temperatures expected to hover between 21°C and 33°C.

As the ITCZ continues to affect Mindanao, light to moderate winds from the east and northeast will prevail, bringing slight to moderate sea conditions with wave heights of 0.6 to 2.5 meters. PAGASA advises caution for those venturing near water bodies.
